24(1) Every person who does not intend to practice permanently in Ghana but who is otherwise qualified to be registered on the standing register shall, upon compliance with paragraphs (a),(b) and (c) of subsection (1) of section 21, and upon payment of the fee payable on registration, be entitled to be registerd on a temporary register as a medical or dental practitioner (as the case may be).
(2) Every person otherwise qualified to be registered on a standing register who is required by the Council to serve a period of mandatory occasional training shall for the duration of that period of training and upon payment of the fee payable on registration, be registered on a temporary register.
The MDC, Ghana provides 2 types of Temporary Registration:
- Short Term: Allows practitioners to Practice from 1 day to 3
months (Visiting groups, etc)
- Long Term: Allows practitioner to Practice Beyond 3 months
